Surprising. submitted by KMLB64 on July 9, 2018, 9:33am Revisiting the show after 40 years, I was surprised at how intense it can be. The shopkeeper stages chopping off his wife's head, then asks Laura to keep it as their little secret while holding a sword near her throat. Grandpa Ingalls deliberately sets his home and contents on fire and refuses to leave. Pa has a very young Carrie raising a turkey to slaughter. Newcomers (in a relatively mild way) attack Ma on the road and rough her up. Overall, good production values, and good tends to win over evil.

Love it submitted by TLW1998 on June 23, 2022, 11:47pm The show is different than the books, but it's still good.
