Hushpuppy is a six-year-old living in an isolated bayou community. When her father Wink becomes ill, she sets off for the outside world in an attempt to help him. Visual poetry submitted by klickitat on February 10, 2013, 9:14am Quvenzhane Wallis is stunning (and adorable!) as a six year old, near orphan living in an isolated and impoverished bayou community. More character than plot driven, this film won't be for everyone. Gritty and often quite dark but with many poetic moments and some great imagery.
