Burt and Verona are a loving couple. Burt has always wanted to marry Verona, but Verona resists, not seeing the point of the institution. Regardless, they are having a baby together and question their potential parenting abilities. They decide to move closer to Burt's parents so they can share the experience with the baby's grandparents. In Verona's sixth month, she and Burt learn that his parents are moving to Belgium the month before the baby is due. Being mobile people, Burt and Verona decide to move. As they want to share their new family experience with people that they love, they decide to take a trans-continental trip to meet with old friends and relatives. Most of them are married with children of their own, and Burt and Verona want to see where they would like to live and with whom they want to share the experience.
DVD, anamorphic widescreen (2.35:1); Dolby Digital 5.1 surround.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

A new favorite of mine submitted by pkooger on February 9, 2010, 2:33pm I loved this movie. I'm not one to get overly sentimental about films, but this one made me a little misty-eyed at times. Burt and Verona's friends and family are at times hilarious, at times awful and sad, and always always interesting. Burt and Verona are charming. The music is charming. The whole movie is charming. Highly recommended.

Cute and funny submitted by Amber Kinder on June 18, 2015, 11:30am I liked this movie. The acting was great and it was very entertaing.

Better then I expected submitted by Zekicmom on August 5, 2018, 1:09pm I thought this was going to be a kind of stupid, predictable comedy based on the stars and the premise of a pregnant couple traveling around North America looking for a place to raise their child. While there were some funny moments, I was plesantly surprised by a movie that was more of a thoughtful look at different parenting styles and what makes a family a family. The cast is great as well.

surprisingly good submitted by angie. on August 24, 2021, 9:29pm pretty good
