COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Highly recommended! submitted by GJBarnett2 on June 21, 2016, 12:35pm Complex well developed characters and story-lines. I'm looking forward to season 3.
Tiresome! submitted by willow on July 17, 2016, 7:19pm I wanted to love this series so much. I enjoyed series one reasonably well, which led me to read all the books. Season two, then, came as a shock as it steers far off the tracks of the plot lines and characters in the books. Amanda is a simpering mess compared to the confident, professional woman she is in the books. Sidney sits around mooning in virtually every scene. I vastly preferred the books. There is something that kept me watching the shows, but it may be akin to watching a train wreck.
Love this show! submitted by lalichter on July 28, 2016, 7:27am This show is great! Season two has a lot more drama and angst than Season one. The main characters' (Sidney and Geordie)'s relationship is out to the test due to opposite views of capital punishment. Some of the secondary characters get expanded roles, and there are some new characters. Topics such as homosexuality, marital abuse, pedophilia, elderly loneliness, and losing a child are explored. I am really looking forward to Season three!
Darker than season 1 submitted by cannonsr on July 19, 2017, 11:37pm Warning that episode 5, specifically, made me cry. The throughllines this season are heavy ones.
