Watching it now, wonderful movie, but requires your undivided attention. submitted by Tassos on November 26, 2022, 9:05am This is probably a great movie, but I watch it at home on my big screen while also working on this laptop and the nearby desktop, and I am distracted. If they spoke in ENglish, I would still catch everything while multitasking, but it is in Hebrew, which I know very little about.

So to enjoy this movie, it needs your undivided attention.

The topic of the movie is also very dear to my heart, even though I have nothing to do with the Talmud, as the father and son scholars that star here, but the parallels in academia, where I have been for more than 40 years as a professor and another 10 as a student, are obvious, so I identify very much with them.

I just read a summary of the plot from Wikipedia. It sounded familiar to me, so I may have seen this movie before, but did not write a review here. It is a GREAT story, that does not really end at the end of the movie, but the viewer will be left to finish it with his imagination.
