Decent submitted by KJRULEZ on July 25, 2016, 10:21pm I'm not the biggest fan of Jennifer Lawrence, but I thought she did fairly well in this movie. I'm a sucker for the succeeding-against-the-odds type of movies. Full of ups and downs, and the pacing is way, way off, but ultimately an interesting and decent movie.

Well Made submitted by Meginator on August 7, 2017, 3:48pm This is a very well made biopic; Jennifer Lawrence excels in the title role, and that's what you need to keep a film like this humming along. That said, the film doesn't have much in the way of action and can rush and lag at different times; the pacing seems to be a bit inconsistent even though the acting and script are both solid. This was an interesting film but not one I see myself returning to often; for all of its remarkably well executed craft, it's not as compelling as it could be.
