COMMUNITY REVIEWS

watchable submitted by 23lisq on July 18, 2016, 11:05pm This movie started out interesting but became very predictable towards the end.

barely watchable submitted by manz on July 22, 2016, 8:51am I thought there would be enough to this film to hold me, but nope. I could not get into it. I did finish it though, so I guess that's something. I did not read the book, so I can't compare, but since it's a trilogy and this movie tanked, I wonder if they'll even make the others into films.

Very Derivative submitted by GJBarnett2 on August 17, 2016, 9:32pm and written by a sophomore. A high school sophomore. Looks like a set-up for a sequel.

Good submitted by hollieesper121573 on August 29, 2016, 10:09pm I know that there is a book sequel so I am hoping the movie has one too

Decent submitted by aharv on August 25, 2017, 4:07pm Entertaining movie with teen science fiction/ dystopian feel.

Disappointing submitted by steveiew on June 22, 2018, 10:19am Based on the book it felt like this book could have made a great movie, however, it didn't work. The movie felt really forced.

Basically entertaining...but could have been much more. submitted by lmangus on August 2, 2019, 9:19am So much potential! Plot's great. Story moves. Character development/investment where it should be. And then, it almost seems like they ran out of time or money (or both), and it drops like a hot rock. I agree with other reviews: the ending especially...felt forced. It's entertaining, but not the blockbuster you go back to/revisit...like I can watch this on Netflix/cable/borrow it from the library for entertainment, and am fine with it. If I'd paid $12 to see it at the theater, however, I'd have been pretty upset.
