COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Has Its Issues But Boy Is It a Fun Ride submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2022, 6:08pm This show’s second season has a more solid footing than its first, but while the production values are high and the acting much improved, the writers struggle to balance the monster-of-the-week stories with the season’s broader narrative arcs. Despite having a truly frightening Big Bad and significant character growth for many of the main cast, including a good number of subplots that make the supporting characters as fully fleshed out an interesting as Bo, the season lacks natural tension as the final confrontation looms. Nonetheless, the show continues to draw upon interesting myths and legends from around the world and its balance of comedy, adventure, and drama gives it a unique style that makes up for some of its technical flaws.
