"Bo is a gorgeous renegade. An irresistible beauty. And a deadly succubus. For years, she had no idea what she was or why every new lover died in the throes of passion. She fled one corpse after another until a chance encounter with the puckish thief Kenzi exposed Bo's existence to the Fae. This ancient society of supernatural beings exists outside the realm of mere mortals. Within their world, there are only two sides: Light and Dark. Each member of the Fae must choose who they will serve. But not Bo. Driven to discover who she really is, Bo vows to live on her own terms even if it means existing in the abyss between darkness and light. With the help of the mischievous, but loyal, Kenzi, the handsome shapeshifter Dyson, and the beautiful human scientist Lauren, Bo will use her powers of seduction to unravel the riddle of her mysterious past"--Container insert.

Great show submitted by Amber Kinder on June 18, 2016, 1:29pm This show is entertaining and interesting. Different from anything I've watched before.

Awesome show submitted by nsvinicki on August 25, 2017, 4:24pm A great show, definitely kept me interested. I was worried this would be a fluffy, uninteresting series, but it's exciting, complex, and funny. Kenzie is the best and my favorite part of hte series. It's also fun for mythology enthusiasts - a lot of the Fae are inspired by spirits and figures yanked from all mythologies.

Surprisingly fun submitted by dntanzer on August 26, 2019, 10:31pm Lost Girl is a fun urban fantasy show that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's exciting and funny

Has Its Flaws, But Feels Original submitted by Meginator on July 11, 2021, 12:26pm This show is still clearly trying to find its feet in its first season, but it’s an under-the-radar gem that a lot of fans of high fantasy will really enjoy. The story revolves around Bo, a succubus who discovers that she is part of the world of Fae, creatures who can pass for human but who have various magical abilities, and follows her attempts to learn more about the Fae world and figure out her place within it. The show paces its exposition fairly well over the course of these episodes, but the season lacks a consistent Big Bad and could have better nurtured some multi-episode story arcs. That said, you can already tell that this world has tons of storytelling potential, and the central characters and their relationships are instantly compelling. It’s also refreshing to see a sex-positive, casually queer take on this type of fantasy world. I look forward to seeing how the show builds itself out given a longer run of episodes.
