A fun adaptation submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 17, 2012, 7:49am A fun adaptation of Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel of the same name, the movie follows con man-turned Post Master Moist von Lipwig as he tries to get the Ankh-Morpork Post Office back on its feet after years of neglect. Despite his previous misdeeds, we find ourselves rooting for Moist and enjoy the movie's end.
Clever viewers will recognize David Suchet, who previously played Hercule Poirot, as the villain trying to sabotage Moist's efforts. Pratchett himself makes a brief cameo at the movie's end.
The book (http://www.aadl.org/catalog/record/1227413) touches on such important topics as racism and workers' rights, which is why I recommend reading it first.
