Well made but overly long submitted by Will O on August 29, 2020, 3:11pm As most PTA movies it's well made with great craft and well acted but I just don't care. Pretty much none of the characters are realistic and while the first hour zips along and has good camera work by the second hour it feels like it is/should be wrapping up but then there's a whole other hour to go.
Tom Cruise is excellent and this should be pointed to when people say he can't act. His performance is incredible.
All in all it suffers from what most ensemble movies do which is that some stories and characters are more interesting and some you sit through to get to the good ones. For me there were more uninteresting than interesting and it ends up being a bit of a slog.
