Phoebe is an imaginative but troubled girl with a desperate longing to be in her school's production of Alice in Wonderland. When she is cast in the lead role her parents believe her unusual behavior is due to her creativity, but soon realize that she is on the brink of falling through the looking glass herself.

charming! submitted by manz on January 27, 2010, 8:59am I really enjoyed this movie. I laughed, I cried. It has just enough whimsy in it to make it a drama with a hint of fantasy. Felicity Huffman, Patricia Clarkson, and Bill Pullman we excellent, and Elle Fanning was adorably perfect as Phoebe. Also perfect was Clarkson as the role of the drama teacher, as she totally has a magic about her in the films she's in.
