Twangy vocals and hints of banjo provide a country base underneath a pure pop sensibility, with lyrics perfectly encapsulating what love feels like when you're 16. "Picture to Burn" holds up pretty well among its peers, and the overall feeling throughout the album is light with huge crossover appeal. It's not perfect, but you can see plenty of hints of Swift's future success here.
