Guitar-Driven Electronic Sounds submitted by Meginator on July 31, 2018, 3:05pm Ratatat's sound is a really cool blend of guitars and electronic elements that utilizes the unique qualities of acoustic instruments and digital effects. The music itself takes a lot of its cues from indie rock, but with some gnarlier guitar effects from heavier rock genres that creates a sound all the duo's own. One track features an unexpected sample of some kind of animal (probably a wildcat) and the final track riffs on the chord structure of Pachelbel's famous canon. This album offers a lot of little tricks and nuances to listen for and it's very inventive along the way.
