Why we don't follow all urges submitted by Caser on September 29, 2011, 1:50pm I don't think the falsetto is going to come back on their next record. Hopefully the heavier, more metal sound will fall away too. Jim James is the reason MMJ is a great band, otherwise they'd be another poor man's CCR. But he takes a lot of risks here that don't carry well and aren't worth revisiting. If they want to break away from the Z and Okonokos sound that their fanbase loves and really can't get anywhere else, then they're going to have to give them a back to form album as reconciliation first.
