fabtasy submitted by steelersfan1 on June 24, 2011, 7:58am a lot of cool fantasy stuff

Amazing submitted by Chris82 on July 31, 2011, 8:24pm This is one of the few cases the movies are as good as the books. This is the best movie in the series. Worth watching for anyone.

Amazing submitted by DoodleBob on June 16, 2013, 1:30pm This movie was one of the best sequals that wraps everything up and is just utterly amazing

Tolkien's Finale submitted by kittenkat101 on August 18, 2013, 5:08pm The Return of the King is a great ending to the trilogy of the Lord of the Rings. The movie makes sure to account for all the characters-which is why there are so many false endings at the end. The last great battle for Middle Earth takes place in this movie--so it is one you should definitely see!

one of the best!!! submitted by iamnotonfire on December 27, 2013, 1:07pm A lots of violence: human heads being catapulted, just barely PG-13. Other than that it is an awesome movie like all the other movies in this series, though i excpected more Frodo, i was happy i got my bliss at the end :)

The Return of the King submitted by SBNB on June 28, 2014, 9:21pm This is a good ending to a great story. I loved it.

good submitted by AprilCDB on July 29, 2014, 11:46am I enjoy this series, not sure which of the three movies I enjoy the most

Great but partially disappointing submitted by sarwet_khan on November 9, 2014, 10:15pm This movie is great but doesn't cover all the things in the book.

great submitted by hollieesper121573 on August 10, 2017, 8:16pm what a movie

Strong Conclusion submitted by Meginator on August 23, 2020, 6:47pm Though I personally think this film is the least satisfying of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, it’s still a remarkable accomplishment that not only brings a lengthy story to an emotionally satisfying conclusion but also successfully translates a classic work of literature to a different storytelling medium. Aside from some moments at the end that are a bit on the nose, the shifts between diverging storylines are dramatically and emotionally effective, highlighting the parallel struggles of the various remnants of the Fellowship of the Ring. Some of the book’s details are cut for time, but most of these omissions make sense in the context of the films, whereas the books had more room to add these wrinkles. The battle scenes are well-constructed and fraught with tension, but Peter Jackson is always sure to tell the greater stories through the individual characters’ perspectives, which grounds the film and raises the stakes even beyond the permanent fate of Middle Earth. This may not be the best standalone film of the series, but it is a magnificent epic of good versus evil that successfully wraps up one of the most famous and influential series of all time.

Awesome submitted by TLW1998 on June 25, 2022, 11:35pm Amazing storyline and acting

What a finale! submitted by RebeccaWittekindt on July 2, 2023, 11:26am Such an incredible trilogy, and such an amazing finale. I think Sean Astin should have been given more props. I remember there were so many moments in this movie when the audience started cheering.

A great film submitted by acarolan on August 4, 2023, 11:34am Absolutely loved this movie. The first two were of course incredible and this one brought it home. Can't recommend it enough!
