COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Awesome submitted by mysterio on August 2, 2011, 2:48pm Awesome

Thus spake the resident genius with the one-word vocabulary ("Awesome") for any piece of crap she sees. Actually, this was OK. submitted by Tassos on May 23, 2021, 9:07am 99% of sci-fi movies are CRAP, or, same thing, "awesome", if reviewed by the resident genius.

But this one was not crappy at all, just developed a 'belly' at the end, I was able to enjoy most of it. Rare 1%. And remarkable, despite the fact it was made almost 50 years ago! (or maybe because of it?)

David Bowie, an amateur actor, was far better in his role than any professional who acts in crappy Sci Fi movies would be. Great Casting!

Unique submitted by brooksza on June 23, 2023, 4:58pm Dreamlike and felt a style unlike much else I've seen. I wasn't expecting the epic timeframe. Themes about bodies, TV, and prison. It feels like this movie could have used some of Bowie's space-themed songs, but maybe that would have been too cute.

If I had Newton's multi-TV powers, I'd be able to blow through my Letterboxd watchlist in no time.
