Ned is a lonely pie maker whose touch can reanimate the dead, but there's a hitch. If Ned touches the person again, the miracle is reversed. If he doesn't, a bystander dies instead. Ned teams with a private eye to bring murder victims back just long enough to discover whodunit and collect the rewards. Things go well until Ned's boyhood sweetheart is the next dear departed, and he can't resist bringing her back for keeps!

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Ended too soon submitted by bmarble on June 24, 2018, 10:49am This is a wonderful show that is the perfect mix of mystery and heartfelt moments. Season 1 is incredible. Unfortunately, season 2 does not quite live up to that standard because the show was canceled and they were forced to wrap up all of the loose ends in the last few episodes. Still, I recommend both seasons because it brings about a decent conclusion to the series, even if I would have liked to see more.

Beautiful submitted by mbsymes on August 15, 2018, 5:15pm One of the most beautiful shows of the 2000s. Incredible sets, compelling characters, magic, and love, who could ask for more?

Brilliance Ahead of Its Time submitted by Meginator on July 22, 2021, 9:05pm From its premise to its narrative tone to its highly stylized visual components, this show was probably about a decade ahead of its time; it feels more like an offbeat offering from a niche streaming service than a primetime ABC show. Suffice to say, this show is deeply and wonderfully weird and holds up really well more than a decade after its initial release. Full of puns and mischief, the show follows a man whose touch can bring back the dead, with a few important conditions that complicate matters significantly and contribute to some of the show’s dramatic tension. The show’s sense of humor and its gleeful embrace of the absurd won’t be a hit with everyone, but if it’s the kind of thing you’ll like, you will *really* enjoy this. If the premise sounds interesting, give it an episode or two and you might find your next cult favorite.

Quirky and fun submitted by mandevil on February 9, 2022, 10:30am Funny

Whimsical Charm submitted by pjaynes on June 20, 2023, 5:18pm If you're a fan of Jim Dale's audiobook narration, such as The Night Circus and Harry Potter series, you will probably love this series, and not just because Jim Dale narrates this as well. Pushing Daisies is full of whimsical charm. It's like if Tim Burton (think more Big Fish than Sleepy Hollow) directed Law and Order, or if Amelie solved murder mysteries instead of photo booth ones. The characters are so charming and the romance is unique. This show is heartwarming and comforting, and I wish there were more of it.

Happiness submitted by renarde7 on July 26, 2023, 11:45am This is the show I turn to when I've had a bad day, or I'm home sick. Quirky and fun.
