Bart is the underachiever, Lisa the overachiever and Maggie the youngest. They live in the fictional town of Springfield, where their many surprising exploits are well known.

A Strong Start submitted by Meginator on August 11, 2021, 4:56pm In retrospect, it’s remarkable how quickly The Simpsons found its feet: the animation and voices are a bit rough, and some of the characters have slightly different personality traits than their current iterations, but the show’s characteristic elements are all evident within its first thirteen episodes. The season features a range of episodes that set the tone for everything to follow, from its unique brand of irreverent, topical, and self-referential humor to its surprisingly sensitive emotional core. The stories feature templates that have persisted throughout the show’s lengthy run and a lot of beloved Springfield residents make their first appearances, though the Simpsons themselves are usually firmly at the center of events. The Simpsons excelled straight out of the gate, and its debut season successfully laid the groundwork for everything to come.

Great show submitted by stellafio on July 8, 2022, 1:45pm Such a classic! Although the golden age was a couple seasons later the first is amazing. Love the show and recommend to anyone old enough to watch it
