Slow to start- but always good. submitted by Kikumatsu97 on July 27, 2015, 7:36pm This is an existential movie about lives converging. I like Costner in this role, and the basis for the whole story is good, if not that it jumps around a bit and may be hard to follow.

Touching and funny! submitted by pk on July 6, 2018, 6:09pm I've always loved this movie but worried it would be too sentimental when I looked at it again after 25 years. Nope! Not too sentimental, and surprisingly funny! Kevin Costner's character is on a quest to figure out what mysterious voices are saying to him in his cornfield mean. This leads him on a cross country trek to find a fantastic James Earl Jones as a crumudgeonly former activist/writer. The interplay between these two is sweet and often funny .
