Jurassic World submitted by SBNB on June 23, 2016, 5:52pm It was intense but somewhat predictable. The silhouettes in front of the open door at the end was cheesy though.

Very dissapointing submitted by ishhewitt on July 14, 2016, 6:04pm I'm the target audience for this film. I grew up watching Jurassic Park, enjoyed the second one, watched the third one even though it wasn't that great. This film is quite bad :( I don't think the acting is great and the plot...it's shaky at best. It is as if the writer said, "What are the great things from the first film, the best parts? How can we remake those parts, appealing to past audience and how can we, in any random nonsensible way, connect those disperate points? And this film is what they ended up with. And PLEASE the high healed shoes echoing? Common. Terrible. The only good thing that came from this film was this: http://imgur.com/gallery/ZQcFF

Formulaic submitted by sara on August 10, 2016, 7:54pm But still fun.

Liked it submitted by kelleyc on August 20, 2016, 12:49pm Pretty much you knew what was going to happen, but it was enjoyable all the same.

Summer blockbuster fun submitted by KOH on August 2, 2017, 4:35pm Come on, you know it's not going to clean up at the Academy Awards, but it's good fun. Chris Pratt is funny and charming, and the effects and suspense don't disappoint.

Disappointing Blockbuster submitted by Meginator on August 14, 2017, 3:33pm I've loved Jurassic Park since I first saw it in the mid-1990s and I had high hopes that this film would reinvigorate the franchise. While I appreciated some elements of the story and Chris Pratt's obvious delight in his role, the film fails to capture the effortless magic of the original. I think that a large part of this is due to the expanded use of CGI; the effects just aren't as convincing (as a film made in 1993!) and make the film seem cartoonish at times when it should be frightening or at least raise the viewer's heartbeat a little. Some of the major set pieces are excellent in theory, showing the filmmakers' appreciation of the original films and their good intentions for this one, but most just weren't emotionally effective for me. Add to this some disappointing half-measures to treat its female characters as actual people (something the original film did much better with Ellie's character) and this is, unfortunately, a disappointment all around.

A family film after the kids grew up submitted by ccrose on July 24, 2019, 12:45pm Yep, 20+ years pass and my adult daughter chose this to go with a visit and dinner. Yes, cheesy, yes bad guy overplayed and stretching for another way to demonstrate greed via dinosaurs. Yes, moments of a shot reminiscent of first fresh version (brachiosaurus on hind legs, munching leaves, sniffing people) and fully relying on the goodness factor of a possible empathetic attachment between man and raptors. Viewed in the right spirit of something that originally left us glued to the screen, it was a fuzzy feeling relative to childhood.

pretty average submitted by yufamily on July 28, 2019, 4:01pm Chris Pratt does a nice job.

A blockbuster submitted by Aimless on July 29, 2019, 5:29pm You can watch chris pratt go from funny guy to action star.

good submitted by andye on August 3, 2019, 2:42pm lot of stuff happened and it was fun to watch

classic submitted by kevinhe on August 5, 2019, 4:56pm it's the first classic dinosaur movie.

Jurassic World submitted by crp on August 6, 2019, 9:37pm Jurassic World is worth watching if you're into the whole series. There's something to be said for enjoyable movies; I'm not sure I understand all the negative reviews I've seen posted here. It's CGI animation and Spielberg.

pretty good submitted by sophiaszh on July 12, 2021, 11:10am I liked this movie

Fun Reboot! submitted by Abbie D. on August 21, 2022, 3:26pm The indominus is perfect level of creeeepy! Love Pratt's character and the relationship he had with the raptors. I enjoyed this movie, even if it is a bit predictable at points. There are some twists that make it worth while!

Not like the classic submitted by timbresson on August 15, 2023, 3:03am It’s ok but it basically tries to run the entire classic plot like with a new cast. It doesn’t quite click
