But for the unlucky one percent, the disease causes 'Lock In.' Victims fully awake and aware, but unable to move or respond to stimulus. Fantastic in Audio! submitted by bonifield on August 3, 2023, 1:23pm I listened to the version narrated by Amber Benson (though I also intend to listen to Wil Wheaton’s version) and thought she did a fantastic job of imbuing the character with personality and emotion through her voice. The story itself is fascinating, and a very interesting take on the after-effects of a pandemic, without the pandemic itself being the focus of the novel. The mystery at the heart of the story is engaging, and I spent a lot of time thinking about it even when I wasn’t actively listening to the book!
