Worth the Wait submitted by laurie92 on December 20, 2009, 2:56pm Finally an Pride and Prejudice homage that is all that you want it to be. I love Pride and Prejudice. I know I am not alone. In my quest to fill my Pride and Prejudice need I have succumbed to some horrible adaptations and sequels. This one honors the source material and is worthy to be added to Austen lore. Amanda Price is a 21st century London bank clerk who finds herself time traveling back to Georgian England. When she finds herself in the Bennet household she is ecstatic that she is "at the beginning of the story!" So are we. Soon characters and situations are not falling into place and Amanda finds that she has to direct the action. Jane must marry Bingley and Darcy must fall in love with Elizabeth. Amanda knows her Austen and she won't accept anything else. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Bennet is loose in 21st century London. This is witty and wonderful. I especially loved the Colin Firth jokes. This will soon be added to my permanent collection.

Sooooooo Much Better submitted by clayton on February 5, 2010, 4:18pm I've had to sit through numerous viewings of "Pride and Prejudice" because of my wife's love of the scenery, clothes and melodrama. I cannot stomach Keira Knightley, I can not still to this day see what people find interesting about her. So it was with a lot of trepidation that I sat down to watch "Lost in Austen", what a relief, this version is quite enjoyable from beginning to end and although the lead is very good, I found two people in the supporting cast quite easily stole the scene each time they appeared on screen, I'm speaking of the Father and Bingley characters, they are just great at their craft. So if you enjoyed "Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead", then this may be just the ticket for you too.

Funny submitted by DL on August 28, 2012, 7:50am If you are a Jane Austen fan you would like this movie.

Cute submitted by majean on July 21, 2018, 3:51pm This is a rather fluffy, cute movie that I enjoyed, but don't feel the need to watch over and over.

Too over the top submitted by mandevil on July 22, 2019, 2:43pm I usually like this type of time travel movie but this one seemed a bit fake. None of the characters found the traveler’s clothing strange? A bit of a wasted opportunity

A Weird and Wondrous Journey submitted by eileenw on July 17, 2022, 11:32am A lover of Jane Austen novels suddenly finds herself in one. She's meddling with the characters' lives (because she already knows the plot!) but not always to the effect she wants. She's also (amusingly) constantly called out for having bangs(!).
