The Man Who Started It All submitted by Meginator on June 15, 2019, 10:49am This biography tells Walt Disney’s story from his humble Midwestern beginnings to his eventual status as one of the world’s most influential storytellers. These days, we tend to take his accomplishments for granted, and this film does a good job of putting his most ambitious projects into historical context. Though it is largely uncritical and emphasizes the Great American Dream aspects of his story, the film doesn't unnecessarily mythologize Disney, offering a portrait of his life and work as seen through the lens of his creative relationships and films. Highly recommended for Disney fans and anyone interested in learning more about the extraordinary man behind the mouse and the magic.
