surprisingly interesting submitted by mrajraspn08 on August 12, 2018, 7:45pm When I first saw this, I wasn't into it until the end, which took a dark and very interesting turn. But I couldn't decide if it was worth the rest of the series. On a second watch through, I've decided that it is.

Brothers submitted by gem on June 14, 2019, 2:52pm I liked the way the two brothers in the movie acted like real brothers. Each of the brothers did things that seemed like a mistake but turned out ok. They learned that sometimes what things looked like wasn't really what they were. They learned that they did not have to be perfect or even amazing to make a difference to those around them. I liked the little blue bird. She was pretty spunky, but along the way she had to make hard decisions that would affect others.

In one of the extra sections of the video the "Tome of the Unknown" original short could be viewed. It had a little bit of a different flavor to it, but it was fun to watch.

Originally a 10-episode mini-series for Cartoon Network, when you watch them all in sequence they basically make a movie that's about an hour and 40 minutes. Amazing animation of various styles, great characters and character development, a mysterious world and subtle plot, music that's both beautiful and funny, and so many wonderful voice actors and actresses, all elements work together to make this a mini-masterpiece. Each episode is its own little story/world, which when strung together tells a larger story that's actually quite dark and moving for a cartoon. Best of all, it rewards watching many times over, as you notice new things about the characters, the world, and the plot that ties them together with each watch. Especially perfect in the fall around Halloween!

A beautiful series submitted by dntanzer on August 18, 2020, 3:55pm This is such a great miniseries. I re-watch it every Halloween. Great for both kids and adults (though it may be a little spooky for kids).
