A uniquely funny and moving story about Greg, a high school senior who avoids deep human relationships as a way to safely navigate the social mine field that is teenage life. great film! submitted by manz on August 28, 2015, 9:11am I really enjoyed this film!! I liked the book by Jesse Andrews that it's based on a lot, and I felt the film stayed true to the book. The actors did a great job bringing the characters to life. Hooray for good realistic teen fiction novels! "Sick lit" seems to be a new trend, and I guess it's alright. So far so good! (This particular title didn't have me balling my eyes out like The Fault In Our Stars movie and book did, phew.)

The movie is quirky without being cutesy or try-hard, and I really related to some of the struggles the characters went through. Bring your tissues!
