Best book ever written. submitted by Flying Sheep on June 19, 2013, 7:07pm The title of this review says it all. To Kill a Mockingbird is the single greatest book I have ever read (in my personal opinion). This astounding story focuses on a young girl and shows what it was like growing up in a racist, southern town from a child's perspective, where said child's father is one of the few people who stands up for African-Americans. This is a magnificent story about judgement and innocence. If you haven't read this book, I would strongly urge you to do so. It is unforgettable.

Life-changing submitted by aa1 on June 21, 2013, 5:50pm This book will give you a true view of growing up in a small southern town, and will show you the battles African-Americans had to face every day. To Kill a Mockingbird definitely changed my life and hopefully it can change yours also.

me submitted by nicenora2371 on July 12, 2013, 7:19pm this book is about Harper Lee's coming-of-age classic, To Kill a Mockingbird, tells the story of six-year-old Scout Finch, her older brother Jem, and their father, Atticus, a small-town Alabama lawyer assigned to defend Tom Robinson, a black man falsely accused of rape.

An Excellent Read! submitted by leehannah on July 13, 2013, 8:52am Harper Lee is an amazing author, and I loved this book. It has a lot of symbolism, deep meaning to it, and life lessons that are and will be helpful.

To Kill A Mockingbird submitted by jangmikyoung on July 13, 2013, 8:52am To Kill A Mockingbird has clearly changed my perspective and the way I look at things and people. It has changed my view and I think it could change yours too.

powerful submitted by camelsamba on June 27, 2014, 8:26pm Based on my experience, if you read this book at different times in your life, you will see many different things in the text. It is powerful on many different levels: is it about fairness and justice? prejudice? racism? loyalty, dignity, and honor? How about all of the above? But the things that will be most meaningful to you will change based on your own life story. A wonderful and powerful book.

To kill a mocking bird submitted by leenajong on August 20, 2016, 12:27am Great read

Important. submitted by terpsichore17 on July 23, 2018, 11:16am An important book, moreso than I'd wish. Impressive, how much can be conveyed through Scout's eyes and ears, and how populous the story is. I'm increasingly curious as to how Atticus Finch became so singular in his attitudes.

A read that will help shape who you become. submitted by MadPiggy on July 27, 2022, 10:43pm I listened to the audiobook version of this classic, and I was very drawn to the characters, their lives and thoughts, and their storylines. As someone who has repeatedly dissected classics and literature during English classes academically, it was refreshing to read a classic plainly, for the story that it has to tell and the narrative it shares. However, the themes that this work explores are pertinent, important and profound. They demand to thought about, as they should - and the character dynamics that illustrate the themes are riveting to watch unfold.
