Interesting mix of cultures in these songs

One I remember well because it was not an American event: Rising of the Moon. An Irish tale of battle 1798, the song is two voices, one an eager young soldier, one bringing word: we fight tonight.
Director John Ford made a 1957 movie of this battle, and used this tune.
