AI Thriller submitted by Meginator on August 18, 2017, 12:26pm Ex Machina is a very tense, taut thriller that explores the possible future of artificial intelligence. The whole film feels very close, in a good way, and the small cast and setting allow for higher tension, delivered brilliantly by an excellent script and acting to match. The effects are outstanding and the whole film is excellently done; it's truly outstanding.
Exciting Sci Fi Thriller submitted by dntanzer on August 30, 2018, 11:13am This was such a fun, suspenseful movie. It incorporates an interesting sci fi plot involving artificial intelligence in a way that feels realistic and intriguing. The movie was paced well and did a great job creating a feeling of unease.
Thriller submitted by rea2mill on July 1, 2022, 11:27am This movie felt like it didn’t really add anything to the discussion of “what machines decided to do if they ever gained sentience?” Instead it just went with the age old fear that they would kill us and used it as a device for a thriller. It was still a fun movie to watch, but don’t go into it expecting Phillip K Dick level exploration of AI.
