A Fitting Celebration of 25(!) of These submitted by Meginator on August 26, 2020, 4:27pm Now this is what these albums are all about: in its 25th edition, Now That’s What I Call Music is a nearly nonstop hit parade of songs that exemplify summer 2007. Stylistically, the tracks are incredibly varied (well, by Now standards, anyway), and even the rock and country tracks were bona fide crossover hits, rather than mere filler material: “Before He Cheats” is good enough to be a highlight on any album it appears on, and it sounds better with age. With hardly a dud among them, these songs are all welcome throwback surprises, marking a rich era in pop radio. Throw this on for a welcome throwback.
