Warning: spoilers ahead submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 16, 2019, 3:17pm This season who meet a new character who becomes pivotal to the Winchester brothers' lives and work. Indeed, the angel Castiel becomes like a brother to the Winchesters, albeit a brother who knows nothing about humans and human culture and so acts inappropriately often. Most of Castiel's blunders are funny, so long as you don't read the character as being autistic (because it's not cool to mock people with autism).
The season's narrative arc contains some surprise twists and is overall very entertaining. The show is mostly based on orthodox Christian cosmology (God made the Earth, there is a Heaven and a Hell, etc) but deviates from it in significant ways. This can be frustrating to those who want consistency. The show might also offend some Christians as it does not always portray angels as kind but in later seasons portrays Lucifer as sometimes pitiable.

Some funny episode titles submitted by Xris on August 2, 2020, 9:01pm This is the season where they have an arch in the plot including Ruby, and angels. Interesting twist on what the boys are being told and what's really going on between heaven and hell. Can't wait to see more!
