Amy Adams, Christoph Waltz, Danny Huston, Jon Polito, Krysten Ritter, Jason Schwartzman, Terence Stamp.
Walter Keane became a worldwide celebrity and talk show fixture in the 1950s after he pioneered the mass production of prints of big-eyed kids, and used his marketing savvy to sell them cheaply. Unfortunately, he claimed to be the artist. That role was played by Margaret, his shy wife. The ruse broke up their marriage and led to a divorce and a dramatic courtroom battle to prove authorship of the paintings.

Those Big Eyes submitted by Beth Manuel on June 12, 2015, 3:10pm Having grown up with a Big-Eyed face in my house, I was intrigued by this story. Amy Adams was fantastic in her role as the mousey wife and artist of the big-eyed child paintings. Christopher Waltz played his part well. I'd recommend this if you're interested in the topic of marriage, divorce or mass produced art.

ugly submitted by lawrencekl57 on July 8, 2015, 4:36pm The paintings are truly hideous. The story is unbelievable, even if it is true!

good story despite box office disappointment submitted by JulieCraig on June 28, 2016, 6:13am This movie is engaging and dark. The paintings by Margaret Keene are haunting and fascinating. This is an interesting story about how charming Margaret's husband was and then how demanding he became. She was distressed when she caught him lying. The movie didn't do well in the box office, possibly because of competition, but also the story doesn't appeal to everyone.

Tim Burton <3 submitted by kbahleda on July 23, 2018, 9:04am I love Tim Burton and all of his films! This one was more historical than most of his work but still had the dark aspect that I have come to know and love

Big Eyes submitted by lstorc on June 24, 2019, 8:29am While not a typical Tim Burton film, Big Eyes is still fascinating due to the acting and gentle (yet abrupt) plot twists. Strong recommendation.
