Color reduction woodcut print. Michigan artist. Jenny Pope is a printmaker and ceramicist from Hartland, Michigan. Pope studied printmaking in the BFA program at Grand Valley State University ({u2018}05). She continues to make prints today at her home studio in Ithaca, NY. Her art features the environment, animals, and their relationships with each other. She uses color reduction printing; every color is printed with the same block, which she carves down as she progresses from light to dark. Pope was a featured artist at the 2016 Ann Arbor Street Art Fair.

More whale please! submitted by bookher on June 28, 2018, 12:53pm I wish this painting had more focus on the whales and less on the bold swirly colors that really weren't that pleasing to look at.
