Interesting submitted by kgolden65 on June 14, 2015, 10:17am Interesting idea for a space adventure. It was a compelling story about saving the world by searching for a world through a wormhole. If you enjoy sci fi you will like this one.

A great adventure and intellectually compelling submitted by downing on June 23, 2015, 12:26pm It was awesome!!!! The movie was so exciting and introduced some really cool ideas.

nice Dad Daughter relationship submitted by LVDS on July 5, 2015, 8:28am A bit far fetched-sci-fi....but that's the movies

Good submitted by leenajong on July 9, 2015, 8:55pm Good but not great. got a lot of hype though.

Interstellar submitted by carolynherrmann on August 19, 2015, 4:53am This movie was really good. I like sci-fi movies though, so I am biased I guess. You certainly have to have willing suspension of disbelief - but isn't that true for a lot of movies? It was highly entertaining and filled with suspenseful scenes. My 11 year old daughter liked it. The most violent part was when one character tries to kill the main character. I like the theme running throughout, which is a father going to great lengths to keep a promise to his daughter.

More than space travel submitted by SolaireFQ on August 27, 2016, 1:37pm This movie does a really good job at presenting the difficulties and science associated with space travel. Great plot, great story, and for the most part based on scientific theory.

Global Warming and future of the earth submitted by mandevil on April 27, 2017, 2:55pm The movie starts when most of the earth is dry and dusty, continuous dust storm reminiscent of the dust bowl from 1930's. Drought conditions make it difficult to grow crops and people on earth are faced with food shortages. It's a little far fetched that the crop that can still survive is corn. In schools travel to the moon is taught as a hoax- fake news. This is chilling given our recent climate of science deniers and fact haters. Matthew McConaughey does a good job as the father farmer/astronaut who must leave earth to help find a solution. However, it is the character of Murphy (his daughter) played by Mackenzie Foy, Jesicca Chastain and Ellen Burstyn that really shines.

Brainy and Good submitted by Meginator on July 26, 2017, 8:12pm This is a fantastic, brainy science fiction film that utilizes several frequent tropes (a parched planet, interstellar expeditions with a mind for colonization, time travel and its paradoxes) in new and intersecting ways. The script is intelligent and the science is (apparently) solid, but the film doesn't condescend to its audience, in an excellent example of the types of boundaries that the best science fiction stories can push. Christopher Nolan gets the best out of his outstading cast, and the characters carry the plot as much as its twists and revelations do. Those twists are satisfying and will definitely reward multiple viewings, as the film's nuances reveal themselves. Interstellar is filmmaking at its best and proof that the best science fiction is, at its heart, so very human.

Nice submitted by Bigal2212 on August 22, 2018, 1:57pm Good idea

Beautiful submitted by lstorc on August 27, 2018, 3:14pm This was cinematic masterpiece! It is also perspective nod to Odyssey 2001. The characters are very relatable and the storyline provides hope.

Interstellar submitted by yufamily on July 30, 2023, 12:33pm It's kind of flat. Not a fan of Matthew McConaughey or Anne Hathaway.
