Great Movie submitted by Pareenaz9 on June 17, 2015, 10:41am I loved this movie, but I still thought that Catching Fire was better than Mockingjay

Well done! submitted by Jhopson on August 4, 2015, 7:42pm The revolution is on and Katniss has to be strong once again, not just for herself or her family but for her nation. I am a little obsessed with the Hunger Games series, have read the books several times through and hold the movies to a high standard. Mockingjay is my least favorite of the books, but the movie, if anything, exceeds the book (I have NEVER said that before!). Both the strength and weakness of the books is that you only know what Katniss knows. The movies take an opportunity to add bits of content that fills out the story with things that would be happening but she doesn't see first hand. Even knowing what's coming, I can't wait for the ending!

Mockingjay Part 1 submitted by SBNB on August 10, 2015, 8:36pm Good movie. I don't remember the book enough to be able to compare them, but the movie on its own is quite good.

Go J-Law submitted by hcf on August 11, 2015, 9:46am Jennifer Lawrence really is a good actress.

Part 1 submitted by toschag on August 4, 2016, 7:15pm Another YA movie drawn out unecessarily. The pacing is weird, and it really should have been once movie. Watch this to get to part 2!

Exciting Action submitted by Meginator on August 2, 2017, 10:42am Though I disagree with the choice to adapt Mockingjay into two feature-length films (the source material just isn't robust enough to sustain it), and this film suffers a bit as a result, it is still a fairly strong adaptation. Tension runs high throughout the film and the unique visual palette from the previous two films is intact, even if the characters' world is rapidly changing around them. The quality of the acting is surprisingly high, with Jennifer Lawrence absolutely nailing her role as Katniss, and overall the film sets up the series's ultimate conclusion rather nicely.

Not sure about parts! submitted by Smileyfrowns on August 20, 2018, 11:11pm I'm not sure if I quite liked the idea of splitting the last book into two parts. I feel like some elements of the film were too drawn out this way, and some parts skipped! I love Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson in this, their acting is quite superb

Great addition to the series! submitted by Xris on August 28, 2018, 8:12pm Now that Katniss has beat the game again, she's a wanted woman. So great to see District 13 and the hope it generates to go against Snow! Interesting that they split it into two movies.

impressive submitted by yufamily on August 23, 2019, 8:11pm Fascinating plot and cast
