Futurama for adults submitted by josephwb on June 24, 2016, 1:47pm I never imagined I could love a cartoon more than Futurama, but here we are.

In many ways, Rick and Morty transcend Futurama. For one, it is edgier, and in no way sentimental (which, of course, is one of the endearing aspects of Futurama). For another, it explores inter-dimensional travel, with the almost limitless possibilities that allows; because dimensions possess unique laws of physics and evolutionary history, the writers can do pretty much whatever they want.

One thing Futurama does have over Rick and Morty is the plethora of sly mathematics/science jokes that pepper many episodes. Oh, and you can watch Futurama with the kids.

The fact that Justin Roiland voices both Rick and Morty is pretty impressive. Maybe not as impressive as Billy West doing Fry/Farnsworth/Zoidberg/Brannigan/etc., but is still pretty great (since dialogue primarily involves the titular characters).

NOT for kids!
