One day, Horton the elephant hears a cry for help coming from a speck of dust. Even though he can't see anyone on the speck, he decides to help it. Good thing since as it turns out, the speck of dust is home to the Whos, who live in their city of Whoville. Horton agrees to help protect the Whos and their home. Unfortunately for Horton, this gives him nothing but torment from his neighbors. They refuse to believe that anything could survive on the speck. Still, Horton stands by the motto that, "After all, a person is a person, no matter how small."

good for whole family submitted by watermelon on July 3, 2012, 10:40pm cute, funny movie for all ages. teaches "a persons a person, no matter how small,"(or any other type of difference, not just big and small). one of the rare cases where a movie is as good or better than the book it was written for.

Jim Carrey is perfect for everything... submitted by Kikumatsu97 on July 6, 2015, 4:08pm The loveable character of Horton is brought to enthusiatic life in a movie with a great message by Blue Sky and 20th Century Fox! (Not Disney, nobody dies.) I love this movie and always laugh when we watch it. This story is an uncommonly well executed one that echoes Dr.Seuss the way I believe he would have inteneded. IT has a great lesson (or two) in it and I'm glad my kids have had the opportunity to see it.
