If you want to follow up Super 8 submitted by irenzero on August 25, 2011, 12:32pm check out The Goonies, one of thee best 80s kids adventure films. It's a bit scary, a bit funny and has a heart...

Different perspective on The Goonies submitted by pkooger on November 28, 2011, 1:56pm After hearing from several people that this was their favorite film from childhood, I chose to educate myself and watched it one day. My conclusion is that I think you need to be a child to really appreciate it. My overwhelming impression was that nobody in the movie talks at a reasonable speaking volume. 90% of the dialogue is shouted at top volume. I got a little sick of that after a while. Sean Astin is adorable. I thought the rest of the kids/adults/mutants were kind of obnoxious. It's a good adventure film for kids (despite some swearing), featuring all the best in one-dimensional character stereotypes, kids shouting at each other, and underground waterslides that end in the Pacific's only heated indoor abandoned pirate cave.

good movie submitted by honordenver on June 23, 2012, 2:28pm i liked this movie

Terrible submitted by Motomori on August 19, 2012, 10:57am I watched this going to Mackinac Island and it was pointless. I didn't even watch the whole thing! I fell asleep at the halfway point!

HEY YOU GUYS!! submitted by Kikumatsu97 on July 27, 2015, 7:11pm Adventure for pre-teens of the 80's. If you were a preteen in the 80's you saw this movie, you loved this movie. It can't be redone...wait...that'd be kinda cool...wait, no I hate the teenage actors of today.
