More humane than Sherlock submitted by mjuddhoffman on June 21, 2015, 7:36am Comparisons are inevitable, and to simply say that one show is better than, or more accurate than, don't really do justice to either Elementary or Sherlock. For my part, the most significant difference is that Jonny Lee Miller's Sherlock is eminently human; the conflict arises from his ability (or inability) to rise above his human "weaknesses" and become the problem-solving machine he wants people to see. His growing awareness in this season that companionship is an asset, a liability, and a necessity, makes for a fun and engaging story.

Maintaining quality submitted by terpsichore17 on July 29, 2021, 1:29pm Miller's Sherlock continues to be so open in so many ways; episodes continue to twine in people or concepts or cases met in earlier episodes; and both Holmes and Watson continue to solve mysteries *while* we learn more about them, instead of the two being mutually exclusive.
