A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces a battle with the invading king's successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom, and perhaps to Maleficent's true happiness as well.

Better then I anticipated submitted by Zekicmom on August 11, 2019, 7:26pm My only interest in seeing the movie had been to be with my daughter who wanted to watch it. I was pleasantly surprised by enjoying it myself. Not like any other version of Sleeping Beauty that I had heard before.

Quite a Different Tale submitted by gem on August 31, 2019, 7:13pm There was a lot of suspense in this movie. I found myself taking sides. It had some wild action / fight scenes with strange creatures of the woods. Worth watching and I hear there is a sequel in the making.
