Great little series submitted by Rachlancy on June 29, 2019, 9:38pm This was a great and quick read for my six year old daughter. We enjoyed the creativity of the character’s problem solving. We’re looking forward to the other books with this character!

Science and Fantasy submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 10:12am This charming early reader combines the scientific method with light portal-ish fantasy elements to excellent effect. The story follows a young girl as she discovers that magical creatures may come to her for help from time to time and as she treats her first visitor, a dragon who seems quite unwell. The educational element is fairly blatant but also seamlessly woven into the narrative, and the easy prose and illustrations make this a great choice for early elementary readers.

Fun Characters, Yay Fantasy, and Basic Science Priciples submitted by jgerman79 on August 26, 2021, 8:39pm This was recommended for my 5 year old daughter, but my 10 year old and I ended up liking this series way more than the 5 year old!

My 10 year old enjoys the fantasy. I enjoy the cat, Sassafras, and that the science is real. Zoey's Mom is around to help guide her or educate her in science practices and science projects. Both of which are explained in simple enough ways for young readers to understand. GREAT intro to science books for those are interested in magical creatures!

First book for my 3.5 year old submitted by beth.adelson on July 25, 2023, 1:54pm This was the first chapter book I read to my 3.5 year old. She was completely captivated by it and we read the rest in the series! Great introduction to science and exciting creatures for kids.
