Great world building submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on June 18, 2021, 10:06pm I loved this book, and am very much looking forward to the sequel. _Jade City_ has a complex set of characters wielding an interesting set of powers. It’s the story of a family dynasty, much in the style of a mafia or yakuza, with martial arts and fighting galore. As an action-adventure book, I thought that it had a lot of depth to the world building, which is really what kept my interest. I will definitely read book 2 (_Jade War_).
