great cookbook with creative recipes submitted by laurenalysse on August 6, 2018, 1:25pm dining in is a cookbook that is quite a bit different than others in my collection. the recipes are fairly straightforward, but utilize unique ingredients and techniques. There are great sections on seafood and vegetables. The desserts section has the "instagram famous" shortbread chocolate chunk cookies, as well as a really great rhubarb recipe!

My Favorite Cookbook submitted by karlstac on August 11, 2019, 2:33pm I have tried 20+ of these recipes and have never been disappointed. I love the recipes that Alison creates and her witty writing style. She uses ingredients I would not have used otherwise and I think has expanded my skillset in the kitchen. I love to pick the recipes I will make for the week then go to the farmers market for the product and the Kerrytown market for the seafood and meat. Makes for a fresh and interesting meal!

Nice to look through submitted by teri on August 17, 2020, 11:40pm Being an avid home cook, this book held my interest for awhile (nice photos), but didn't inspire me to make anything.

Great Food in a Reasonable Amount of Time submitted by krogers on June 11, 2023, 11:45am The recipes are outstanding and the author lives up to her promise of not asking you to do something in 3 steps when it can be done in 1, etc. Findable, usable ingredients and reasonably do-able uncomplicated steps to make great food without extraordinary time or effort. This book was so good I had to go to Amazon and got a copy for myself!
