Another outstanding book from Sanderson submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on July 21, 2018, 10:22am It had been 3.5 years since the last installment of the Stormlight Archives, so I went to the Stormlight wiki and read up on the series before I started in on this 1200-page volume 3. That helped me immensely. One of the things that I love about Sanderson is that he doesn't spend half the book telling you about what already happened!

Sanderson does another excellent job on this volume, maintaining a spot-on balance between multiple story lines, characters, places, and events. He balances the large and small forces affecting this world and kept me totally engaged. I constantly reached for the book, and read it way faster than I would have expected for a book this size. There wasn't a single storyline that dragged and made me want to leave the book on the table. Every character, large or small, continues to grow and change (not always for the better, and not always as I expected), pulling me through the story.

An outstanding series. How long till the next one?!?

So Awesome submitted by www.net on July 22, 2018, 11:10am I could not put this book down once I started it. I have enjoyed all of Brandon Sanderson's books, and this was no exception.
I did reread the first two books before reading this one, and found that immensely helpful in understanding the plots. Still, there are a lot of things to speculate about. I can't wait for the next one!

Oathbringer submitted by SBNB on June 21, 2022, 10:22pm Great book! It's set in such an interesting and different world. I highly recommend this series.
