Sparks an Important Conversation submitted by rishikabhutani on November 25, 2021, 2:54pm This book answers the question of why we need feminism. I watched the movie when it came out on Netflix, which was really good. I wanted to read the book to see what it was based on, and I was not disappointed. It highlights the issues that young women face everyday in a well-paced contemporary story that had me on my toes until the end.

Great story of feminist rebellion in small town Texas
submitted by A2AE on June 10, 2023, 7:07am
A fantastic read, perfect for a book club where people from different backgrounds, especially small towns and private schools, can share their stories and connections; while reading it was far removed from my experience in AAPS, it was shockingly relatable for many of my friends who grew up elsewhere. It was helpful, and heartbreaking, to learn that instances like the ones in the book aren’t relegated to Texas.
A great companion to other books of feminist teen rebellion like The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau Banks and Now is Not the Time to Panic.
