a baker's must have submitted by laurenalysse on August 6, 2018, 1:26pm this cookbook covers all kinds of desserts - cookies, ice cream, cakes. it also provides homemade recipes for things you'd usually buy at the store - like nilla wafers and oreos. It's worth it especially for the cake recipes.

American Classics submitted by ppeszter on July 26, 2020, 11:01am Stella's recipes found on Serious Eats are always foolproof, so you can also trust her book as a great reference for classic American recipes. The thorough research into the science and history of recipes makes her book stand out, as well as the on-point instructions, recommendations for vegan versions, and tips for baking emergencies. My favorites were the overnight-proofed cinnamon rolls, but also looking to try the bacon snickerdoodles and Oreo's from scratch!
