Sad but inspring and powerful submitted by alisonhatch94 on July 22, 2020, 10:35am I had no idea the kinds of things that were happening in Syria and going on right now! This book was a huge window to the problems and terrors currently going on there and it was just a shock. I couldn't believe the stories and experiences of the people she interviewed. Since it's a collection of stories, I thought she did a great job of making them flow together to feel like one narrative. It really makes you want to do something about it and become more educated about the issues there.
