Exquisite writing submitted by kkjammers on July 30, 2020, 8:53pm Flynn's "The Jane Austen Project" is a historical fiction romance which includes an element of time travel. The two main characters, Dr. Rachel Katzman and Liam Finucane, travel from an advanced time (beyond ours) back to 1814 - 1815 with the mission of befriending the Austens, retrieving Austen's unfinished novel "The Watsons," finding the author's letters that have been destroyed, and diagnosing and perhaps treating her terminal illness. The novel is very well-researched, captivating, and nearly believable. Rachel's and Liam's characters are superbly created and developed. Flynn creates a detailed description of life in Regency England. The novel is captivating and satisfying - highly recommended.

I Loved This! submitted by ginarae3 on August 13, 2020, 2:49pm Can one seemingly unimportant incident change the course of history? How important is quality over quantity? What importance do we place on rarity? What is love, fame, or wealth? I love Jane Austen, not really into time travel or Sci-Fi, but this novel was so, so good. I didn't want to put it down and I never wanted it to end.

Mixed submitted by smgop on July 17, 2021, 9:36am I love Jane Austen, time travel - meh.
