Even among writing books, this is a stand out submitted by hgerety on July 22, 2020, 4:24pm Colum McCann brings his particular voice to this small volume of writing tips. Whether you're a beginning writer or a seasoned pro, this volume has something to say to you. It's easy to pick up and read a bit here and there, or sit down and dig in for a longer spell. Reading just a bit of it is enough to inspire you to think of your writing with fresh eyes; McCann is plain and accessible, but never patronizing.

This would make an excellent gift for the budding writer in your life.
