true story! submitted by camelsamba on June 29, 2021, 11:08pm True story. And you know the illustrations are going to be gorgeous, because it's illustrated by van Frankenhuyzen. I first read the digital download (available here on aadl.org), but the print copy is even better as you can peruse the full page spreads in all their loveliness. A couple of pages at the end provide more historical and scientific context.
